5 Days / 4 Star Package Tour Outline
Day 1: City Tour
From the airport we’ll take you to your hotel and then embark on a city tour that will give you a first-hand experience of the culture, history and atmosphere of this beautiful city. Highlight of the tour include a visit to the Company Gardens and the SA Museum, the Malay Quarters with its vibrantly painted houses and close-knit community, the city centre including the Green Market Square with its enormous curio market and the District 6 Museum. The tour ends at Signal Hill where you’ll have a beautiful view of the city, Table Bay and the Atlantic Seaboard.
Day 2: Safari
After breakfast we take on the 2-hour drive to Inverdoorn, a game estate located near Ceres, a small town situated among soaring mountains and fruit-growing valleys. Inverdoorn is home to the Big 5 and is especially well-known for its cheetah programme. After a 4×4 drive during which you’ll be treated to a wide range of antelope, zebra, and the members of the Big 5, you’ll enjoy a relaxing lunch where you can soak up the atmosphere of this tranquil game farm. Then it’s back to Cape Town and your hotel.
Day 3: Peninsula Tour
After breakfast we embark on the Peninsula Tour, a trip that will take you from the Atlantic coastline to the Indian coastline. We drive past the famous beaches of Clifton, Camps Bay and Llandudno and stops of at the harbour of the beautiful town of Hout Bay. Here you can opt to go on a boat trip to Seal Island (extra charge). From there we’ll continue via Chapman’s Peak Drive, through the sleepy rural village of Noordhoek to The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point, where you’ll be treated to game sighting and spectacular views. From there the route will take us through quaint little seaside towns – Simeon’s Town, Kalk Bay, Muizenberg. We cut back through the beautiful suburbs of Constantia and end the tour with a visit to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, internationally known for its collection of indigenous flora.
Day 4: Wine Routes
The wine routes of the Cape meanders through various small towns that are rich in history and culture. We visit the student town of Stellenbosch, famous for its architecture and its wines. Franschhoek is just a few minutes’ drive further and is situated amongst soaring mountains and undulating vineyards. The tour will include three wine tastings as well as a wine tasting.
Day 5: Cape Town
After breakfast we’ll transfer you back to the airport.
