Abseiling from Table Mountain will count as one of your most memorable experiences in all your travels. Step off the seemingly flat mountain top into a vertical controlled descent of 112 meter. At 1000m above sea level, not only is it one of the world’s highest commercial abseiling points, it offers magnificent views of the city and the shimmering Atlantic Ocean. The abseil is controlled enough for you to take in the scenery, the beauty of the fynbos and the sweet smell of the mountain air. And best of all – you don’t have to be experienced at abseiling to enjoy this adventure.

How do you get there?

Make your own way to the top of Table Mountain, either by going up by cable car, or joining our Table Mountain Platteklip Gorge Hike.

How long does it take?

The abseil itself takes 1 hour. Remember to add in the time it will take you to get to the top of the mountain, either by cable car or joining our hike.

You are responsible for:

• Getting to the top of the mountain and back
• Meals/snacks (there’s a restaurant on top of Table Mountain)
• A warm top, in case the wind comes up.
