When playing on Steenberg Golf Course, you’d never guess you’re a mere 30-minute drive from the inner city. Bordered by vineyards and a nature reserve, and immaculately maintained, it is a great outdoor experience. Top it up with a tour of the Peninsula that will see you hitting all the highlights.
Day 1: Half-day Sightseeing Tour
Enjoy a day’s sightseeing around Cape Town and surrounds, including a stroll around The Company’s Gardens and a visit to The South African Museum. We’ll take a look at the Parliament buildings, City Hall and the Caste of Good Hope. From there we’ll move on to the colourful Malay quarters with its brightly coloured houses, you’ll get a chance to shop at the huge curio market on Green Market Square, see the city from Signal Hill and enjoy the scenery around the Atlantic seaboard, including the famous beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay. An optional Diamond Factory tour is available plus an additional option to go up Table Mountain (weather permitting). Spend the night at The Lagoon Beach Hotel (or similar)

Day 2: Golf
Situated about 30 minutes’ drive from the city centre, Steenberg Golf Course offers the discerning golfer and experience to remember. Winner of numerous awards, this is a golf course of the highest standard, with immaculate fairways and greens. Bordering on the Table Mountain Reserve, it is a nature lover’s paradise.
Day 3: Peninsula Tour Full Day
After breakfast we embark on a tour of the Peninsula. The scenic drive takes us via the Atlantic Seaboard past Clifton and Camps Bay, the Twelve Apostles and Llandudno to Hout Bay. From there we go via the spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive towards the rural village of Noordhoek. On our way to Cape Point, keep your eyes peeled for animals roaming in the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, from antelope, zebra, ostriches to baboons. We continue towards the other side of the Peninsula, past the quaint towns of Sea Point, Kalk Bay and Muizenberg, with an option to view the penguin colony at Boulders. From there we cut through the beautiful suburbs and vineyards of Constantia to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. We return to your hotel late in the afternoon/early evening.
Day 4: Wine Tour
The winelands of the Cape is not just famous for its world-class wines, it’s also highly rated for the beauty of its surrounds. Patch-work vineyards creep up the slopes of soaring mountains, and the white-washed Cape Dutch manors add elegance and sophistication. We visit 3 main towns that form the heart of the winelands: Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek, for a day of exploring, wine and cheese tasting. You’ll get time to stroll through Stellenbosch to look at historical architecture in Dorp Street and De Braak. We’ll have a wine tasting at a wine estate, go for a cellar tour and have a cheese tasting. Afterwards we’ll drive through Paarl, a beautiful, tranquil town with lots of historical interest, go for a wine tasting at a local estate and view Nelson Mandela’s former prison (Victor Verster). Then it’s on to the spectacular town of Franschhoek, with its soaring mountains and French ambiance. You’ll enjoy a wine and biltong pairing and if you want to, visit the Huguenot Memorial. From there it’s back to Cape Town over the scenic Helshoogte pass.
Day 5: Depart
After breakfast transfer from hotel to Cape Town Airport.
